Pretty medieval manuscript of the day is another from the National Archives’ Flickr account. It turns out to be a goldmine of Creative Commons licensed images!

Admittedly, it isn’t the most pretty, so perhaps it doesn’t deserve to be here quite as much as the Tres Riches Heures… but it is rather fun, in a macabre way. It certainly livens up the Treasury receipts (yawn). It reminds me of a child’s doodles in the margins of their school exercise book.
All of my margin doodles were ultraviolent, too.
